Emily Thrapp

MS, LMHC

Clinician & Clinical Adminstrator

I help people gain traction towards the changes they want to make in their life. My role is to assist you in exploring new and alternative ways of thinking about your problems to help you move from the level of the problem to the level of the solution. I will teach and guide you as you develop new skills and ways of thinking to better manage your life and relationships. It is an honor and continues to amaze me every time I am able to partner with someone to help them find relief and peace in their life. Over and over again, I have witnessed the resiliency of the human spirit in the people that I work with.

I am originally from Anchorage, Alaska and have lived in Washington since 2017. While starting my career in Alaska, I worked with Alaska Native and American Indian populations through integrated behavioral health in primary care clinics. This experience was a privilege that shaped my clinical work greatly and grew my appreciation for every unique story that I hear. I even traveled to the remote village of Illiamna several times to provide brief counseling services, for which I won an Honoring Our Successes award through Southcentral Foundation.

I work with adults and couples on life’s problems such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions and relationship issues. I have Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and I am also trained in EMDR to address trauma.

In her spare time, she has been exploring her new PNW home with her family and two dogs. She also enjoys yoga, reading, cooking and going for dog walks.
