Kambra
Johnson

MS, LMHCA
Kambra is dedicated to meeting clients where they are at, and adapting therapy to best fit the individual and their goals. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered through a systems view. Kambra works from a foundation of CBT, integrating DBT, mindfulness, EMDR, and existential and feminist psychology, depending upon the needs of each client. She works with all individuals ages 13 and up, focusing on working with teens, young adults, and women. Her areas of clinical focus are anxiety, depression, trauma, family systems, life transitions, and self-actualization. She believes strongly that all individuals hold within themselves the power to enact change and healing. Kambra provides supportive and affirming care to LGBTQ+ and nonbinary clients. She has basic skills certifications in DBT and Natural Lifemanship (an equine-assisted modality, not currently being offered) and is working towards EMDRIA certification for EMDR.
A native Washingtonian, Kambra is originally from the rural Southwestern part of the state. She has called Puyallup home for almost a decade, alongside her husband and their pets. She is her happiest outdoors, and particularly enjoys mountain biking, camping, and dabbling in dog sports. A lifelong creative hobbyist and artist, she is always open to bringing art supplies into therapy sessions upon request.
